Before we put pen to paper, we take time to listen, seek to understand and explore.

Co Founders/Directors
Guruge Ruwani
Ruwani is a passionate designer with extensive front end experience in multiple sectors, including private residential, multi-unit residential, commercial, mixed-use, and institutional.
Ruwani brings a clear conceptual direction, a strong focus, and a balance to the table with her holistic approach to design. Ruwani has always been fascinated with materialising fluid, conceptual ideas through a rational process into rich spatial experiences.
Before setting up Read Studio, she worked for Crone, BM, Marchese Partners and Architecture Saville Issacs in Sydney & Design Group Five in Colombo as a designer, Senior designer & project leader, working on a diverse range of projects.
Pulasthi Wijekoon
Pulasthi is highly regarded for his skills in design, insight, and abilities to lead teams from design inception.
He has a proven track record in design competitions to win over projects. Pulasthi builds teams that work together to deliver outcomes that are commercially aware and aesthetically outstanding.
He has extensive experience in multiple sectors, including private residential, multiunit residential, commercial office, mixed-use, institutional, and master planning.
Before setting up Read studio, he was the Design Director at Design Group Five Colombo and has worked in Architectus, Suters Architects & PTW in Sydney on notable projects.
Mark Boffa
Mark Boffa brings decades of experience and invaluable expertise in project & practice management, project delivery and stakeholder relations.
Over the years, Mark has been involved in projects ranging in scale and complexity, from project initiation, feasibility, master planning, project definition planning, and schematic design to full documentation, procurement, and contract administration. He has built good working relationships with clients and consultants from diverse backgrounds.
His track record spans 40 years originally with Brown Brewer & Gregory Architects, and later as co-founder and Principal of Boffa Roberson Group, contributing to big picture thinking and fostering a mentoring culture in the Practice.
He is a Fellow of The Royal Australian Institute of Architects, a member of The RAIA Practice Committee and an occasional presenter of talks in Practice Management. He is also an examiner with the NSW Board of Architects.
Mark is registered in NSW, Queensland and the ACT.
